City of Erie to Close Kahkwa Ave. between Superior Ave. and Crescent Drive

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Erie, Pa. (Sept. 20, 2021) – Beginning Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, Kahkwa Ave., between Superior Ave. and Crescent Drive, will be closed indefinitely to vehicular traffic until a replacement structure can be constructed. 4-Way Stop Installations at Two Intersections

As a result of traffic studies, the City will install 4-way stop conditions on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the following intersections:

1) West 21st Street and Raspberry Street, installing stop signs on Raspberry Street

2) Highview Boulevard and Arlington Road, installing stop signs on Highview Boulevard

All motorists will now have to stop and proceed with caution.  Motorists are asked to drive with extra caution through theseareas while motorists adjust to the new traffic patterns.
