Upcoming City Council Meeting Information


The Erie City Council announces that due to the Covid-19, the City Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. will be closed to the public and Councilmembers will participate by Zoom. Citizens may watch and listen to the meeting via www.cityoferie.pa, on the City of Erie’s Social Media Channels, or the Government Access Channel 1024 on Spectrum.

1.   A resolution sponsored by Councilman Dave Brennan that the City of Erie Administration and other appropriate City Departments and stakeholders work with the Erie City Council to create an Ordinance that will specify or amend policy or procedures for naming, co-naming, and renaming of City of Erie streets.

           The objectives of the Ordinance are as follows:

  1. Enhance a sense of community involvement and public participation within the City.
  2. Establish a uniform and comprehensive process of formal notification of a proposed naming, co-naming or renaming.
