2021 JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT

An ordinance approving the editing and inclusion of certain ordinances as part of the various component codes of the Codified Ordinances of Erie, Pennsylvania.

3.     Council File No. 16,264  Pending Official File Ordinance No. 5-2022

An ordinance appropriating the sum of $300,000.00 from unappropriated and unanticipated Liquid Fuels Tax fund balance and providing for the expenditure thereof.

An ordinance appropriating the sum of $ 10,000.00 from unappropriated and anticipated revenue and providing for the expenditure thereof. Contributions are from the Mercy Terrace Apartment and the Star Athletic club.

ORDINANCES:  FOR FIRST READING

1.     Council File No. 16,266

An ordinance amending Article 1501, 1503.21 and 1503.27 of the U.C.C Ordinance adopting the 2018 and Chapter 11 and Appendix E of the 2021 International Building Code (IBC) for new construction along with the accessibility provisions contained in the 2021 International Existing Building Code (IEBC), the 2021 International Plumbing Code (IPC)  and the 2021 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC).

F. OLD BUSINESS

1.)  Pursuant to the provisions of PA 47 P S, 4-461 (b.3) City Council will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at approximately 8:00 P.M. to hear testimony concerning the transfer of Liquor License R-18841 for the transfer of Liquor License R-18441 from A&M Sventek LLC, trading as Micheles (“Seller”) 13230 Route 6, Roosevelt Hwy., Corry, PA and located in Township of Wayne, County of Erie, PA to Cashier’s House Beverage LLC 417 State Street, Erie, PA 16507.

2.)  Mobilcom, 16343 Conneaut Lake Road, PO Box 1234, Meadville, PA 16335 for (21) portable radios, batteries & microphones for the Bureau of Police at a total amount of $90,260.94. (Tabled from 2-9-22 meeting)

G. NEW BUSINESS

1.     A resolution authorizing and directing the Proper City Officials to issue a Change Order to the agreement with Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI), 380 New York Street, Redlands, CA 92373-4175 to correct the amount for the GIS related services for the annual subscription for the Enterprise Advantage program from $9,400.00 to $95,400.00 annually for the Bureau of Code Enforcement & Planning.  The original amount of $9,400.00 was in error.

2.     A resolution authorizing and directing the Proper City Officials to execute a Right-of-Way Grant with Verizon North LLC providing for the placement of the Aerial facilities on City property (parcel ID 14-010-025.0-108.00) located along the Bayfront Parkway, Erie, PA.

3.     A resolution for the Proper City Officials and the City of Erie to undertake the project, “City of Erie East 18 and June Streets Park Acquisition” (Project Title”); and

Whereas, the applicant desires to receive from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (“Department”) a grant for the purpose of carrying out this project.

4.     A resolution authorizing and directing the Proper City Officials to execute an Easement Agreement between the City of Erie and Great Lakes Insurance, 1128 State St., Erie, PA 16501, Index (16) 3004-100, in compliance with the attached City Engineer’s metes and bounds description locating a canopy.

5.     A resolution that the following individual be appointed as Probationary Patrolman at the current salary of $50,205.91 in the City of Erie Bureau of Police as they appear on the current Civil Service Eligibility List for the probation period of one (1) year from the date of his appointment on February 17, 2022.
