City of Erie Releases 2022 Summer Recreation Guide

May 10, 2022 – Erie, Pa. – The 2022 Summer Recreation Guide, which highlights free summer programs for City of Erie residents, is now available online and in print.

“There are so many things to do this summer, especially for our kids,” said Mayor Joe Schember. “We want to make sure everyone knows about the free camps, activities, and programs available to our city residents in the coming months.”

All programs listed in the guide are free to City of Erie residents and focus on grades K-12, though ages vary per program.

Summer programs and activities include:
• Basketball
• Community center programs
• Golf
• Swim lessons
• Tennis
• Theater
• YMCA programs

• Police Athletic League programs

Registration deadlines for summer programs are quickly approaching. City residents are encouraged to review the guide and sign up as soon as possible before programs fill up.

The guide also encourages residents to take advantage of the city’s 45 beautiful parks, which are listed in the guide and online. For more information about our parks and locations, visit cityof.erie.pa.us/MyNeighborhood.

A digital version of the Summer Recreation Guide is available online at cityof.erie.pa.us/SummerRec and printed copies will be sent home with students of Erie’s Public Schools. Additional copies may be picked up in the entrance of City Hall at 626 State St.
