New Stormwater Management Fee bills now in the mail

City Treasurer Casimir J. Kwitowski and the Department of Public Works would like to remind City property owners that the 2023 Stormwater Management Fee bills are in the mail. The fees are assessed on all City properties, regardless of taxable status. If anyone does not receive their Stormwater Management Fee bill by the end of March, please call our office at 814-870-1210.

You can pay your bill in person at the City Treasurer’s Office, Room 105, 626 State St., which is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Payment can also be processed online at the City of Erie’s website, https://cityof.erie.pa.us, by clicking the “Make a Payment” button on the homepage. VISA, MASTERCARD, and DISCOVER are accepted, with a convenience fee added to your total.  Fees for businesses and commercial structures are assessed based on the square footage of impervious surface. Residential fees are either $12, $24, or $36, based on impervious surface.

2023 STORMWATER MANAGEMENT FEE DUE DATES:

  • FEE AT 2% DISCOUNT                     
    • If paid on or before      03/31/2023
  • FEE AT FACE AMOUNT
    • If paid by                      05/31/2023
  • FEE AT (10%) PENALTY
    • If paid on or after         06/01/2023

Annual stormwater fees will enable the City to address critical infrastructure needs to the City’s aging storm sewer system.
