Lineups, dates announced for Sounds of Summer concerts, 814 Concert Series

Erie Mayor Joe Schember and City Events Manager Adrienne Nannen, on June 9, 2023, announced the lineups for the City’s Sounds of Summer concerts and the 814 Concert Series.

The Sounds of Summer concerts take place in several of the City’s senior living communities, and the 814 Concert Series will be in City parks. Both concert series are presented by UPMC Health Plan. The Music Performance Trust Fund and the American Federation of Musicians Local 17 Music Fund provided additional grant funding for the Sounds of Summer.

Something new to note this year is that several of this summer’s 814 Concerts will be held in select neighborhoods just ahead of our Love Your Block improvement projects that are also taking place in those neighborhoods. Find more information about the City’s Love Your Block initiative by going to the City’s website, cityof.erie.pa.us, and searching “Love Yor Block.”

All performances are free and open to the public. Bring a chair and enjoy!

What they said:

“We enjoy interacting with and supporting Erie residents through these music series,” said Katie Bool Shafer, Community Relations Manager at UPMC Health Plan. “There is no other local music series that brings the music to you, right into your neighborhood or senior living community.”

“Every summer I get to as many of these concerts as possible,” said Erie Mayor Joe Schember. “I enjoy the music. But even more, I enjoy seeing and connecting with people I have not seen in a long time, and also meeting and building relationships with new people in our City.”
