Temporary sidewalk, parking and travel lane restrictions in place on State Street

Beginning today, temporary sidewalk, parking, and travel lane restrictions are in place as construction gets underway for Phase 2 of the Downtown Streetscape Master Plan.

Expect temporary closures on the west side of State Street from 12th Street north. Construction crews will work in one- or two-block-long sections, and then reopen those areas as they move north toward South Park Row. Crews will then begin working on the east side of State Street from South Park Row south to 12th Street. Phase 2 closures will be dependent on construction schedules and will be intermittent until the conclusion of the project.

Construction barricades and equipment are shown, on July 17, 2023, on State Street near 11th Street in Erie. Beginning July 17, temporary sidewalk, parking and travel lane restrictions are in place as construction gets underway for Phase 2 of the Downtown Streetscape Master Plan.
