2nd Public Hearing Scheduled for City of Erie FY 2024 Proposed Annual Action Plan

The City of Erie is currently preparing its Proposed Annual Plan for FY 2024. The City will apply for FY 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds, and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The City will conduct public hearings on the proposed use of CDBG, HOME, and ESG funds received from HUD for FY 2024. In accordance with the Final Rule for consolidation of the CDBG, HOME, and ESG Programs, 24 CFR Part 91, et. al., the City will prepare a FY 2024 Annual Plan, which will be submitted to HUD on or before May 13, 2024 if the City of Erie has received notification of funding from HUD.


The purpose of these hearings is to obtain the views and comments of citizens, public agencies, and other interested persons relative to housing and community development needs that may be addressed by CDBG, HOME, and ESG funds during the next fiscal year. The hearings will be at City Council Chambers 626 State Street and broadcast on CAM Government Access Channel, Spectrum1021. The meeting will also be streamed live on the City’s YouTube page and Facebook page.

The City published a summary of its proposed Annual Action Plan for FY 2024 on March 27, 2024. A copy of these documents is on public display for a thirty-day review period beginning on March 27, 2024, at the City of Erie’s website, City Hall, Community Centers, and Blasco Library. City Council is expected to act on the proposed FY 2024 Annual Action Plan on May 1, 2024 or May 15, 2024 at their regularly scheduled meeting at City Hall, 626 State Street Erie, PA.
