City compost collection begins Sunday, March 12

Sunday night, March 12, begins compost collection season for the City of Erie. Compost materials will be accepted through Dec. 7.

On the City’s regular trash pickup schedule, refuse crews will collect compost materials in open hard containers (50 lb. limit) or in compostable brown paper lawn or leaf bags. Acceptable compost material includes:
